Bookmarked Recipes 38

Here’s this week's round up of Bookmarked Recipes and this week we have some more great recipes from some more great bloggers. This week’s round up is being hosted by Becke of Columbus Foodie.

First up is Christine of Kits Chow, who made this Potato and Antipasto Terrine which was inspired by a potato and olive terrine that she saw on the Palachinka blog. Not only did it taste wonderful, but the layers in the dish are so pretty!

Next up is Jen of Beantown Baker, who made a Crockpot Tamale Pie recipe that she had seen on the A Year of CrockPotting blog. She made a few substitutions to make it a bit healthier and carb-friendly, and it looks like it was a rousing success!

Also participating this week is James of The Cotswold Food Year, who made a Cinnamon, Raisin and Candied Orange Bread Crown that he saw in The Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Cookery book. What an impressive sight! He thinks it would be perfect to serve at a Sunday brunch.

And then there's Varsha of Will-O'-the-Wisp, who made Thari wala Murg, a flavorful chicken curry dish that came from the Christmas issue of Vanitha, a Malayalam magazine. The combination of flavors in this dish sounds absolutely divine!

Happy Cook of My Kitchen Treasures contributes Layered Parotta, a rich Indian bread that she saw on the Spice Club blog. I've loved these for years, and never realized that they were so easy to make.

Cristie from Edible Antics - Having Fun with Food, made a Banana Cream Pie that she saw in Helen Myhre's The Norske Nook: Farm Recipes and Food Secrets cookbook. Even though this cream pie is worthy of throwing, it would be a shame to - it makes much better eating!

Sahaja from My Experiments in Kitchen joined us this week with a mouthwatering Tomato Chutney that she found in Lubna's YUMMY FOOD blog. Chutneys are a delicious, versatile condiment and this one seems like it would be a perfect addition to virtually anything!

Finally, my contribution this week is a tasty Cream of Turkey and Wild Rice Soup that I saw on the Arctic Garden Studio blog. Nothing else quite hits the spot on an icy winter day like a steaming hot bowl of hearty soup!

Thanks everyone for your submissions!!! It's always exciting to see what people have been making and recreating as well as meeting some new bloggers.

  3. Hi Ruth. I sent you an email earlier this week about entering a bookmarked recipe but wasn't sure what link you wanted me to use in my post, and I also offered to host a round-up. I haven't heard from you, so I'm wondering if you got the first email with my question or the second email with my entry. ???
