Bookmarked Recipes 44

Here’s this week's round up of Bookmarked Recipes! This week we have some more great recipes from some more great bloggers. And your host this week is me, Joelen of Joelen's Culinary Adventures.

Name: Ruth of Ruth's Kitchen Experiments
Recipe: Red Velvet Cake
Original Source: (Equal Opportunity Dinner) More From Magnolia by Allysa Torey
Ruth starts us off with dessert! I'm been a fan of red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and this particular recipe looks delicious. Definitely check out Ruth's blog for the recipe and how she made this beautiful cake!

Name: Karen of Loves to Eat Weblog
Recipe: Bumpy Cake Cupcakes
Original Source: Food Network
Inspired by Sanders/Morley Candy Company, Karen creates these unique and deliciously chocolatey cupcakes. The recipes used to create this dessert were from Food Network and Karen does a great job combining them! Be sure to check out Karen's blog for the recipes!

Name: Sahaja of My Experiments in Kitchen
Recipe: Carrot Rice
Original Source: Sailaja Aunty, Sahaja's friend
Sahaja shares with us a recipe for a great variation to plain white rice... carrot rice! Not only is this a more colorful rice dish, the addition of coriander, lemon and curry make it even more flavorful. Check out Sahaja's blog for the recipe!

Name: James of The Coltswald Food Year
Recipe: Bailey's Ice Cream
Original Source: The book 'Ices - The Definitive Guide' by Caroline Liddell & Robin Weir
With St. Patrick's day coming up, James shares with us the fitting Bailey's Ice Cream! This looks super smooth and rich, and it has to be good when liquor is involved! Check out Jame's blog for the delicious recipe and for some great ice cream making tips!

Name: Christine of Kits Chow
Recipe: Ostiones Pimentados, Peppered Oysters
Original Source: The book Mexican Regional Cooking by Diana Kennedy
Christine highlights the power of pepper in this Mexican dish. Sometimes simple black pepper is underestimated but this dish of peppered oysters makes pepper the star! Check out Christine's blog for the recipe and some beautiful pictures of Mexico she shared too!

Name: Joelen of Joelen's Culinary Adventures
Recipe: Crabmeat Stuffed Sole
Original Source: Epicurious
For this blogging event, I wanted to share a fish dish since many folks may be looking toward seafood based dishes in this time of Lent. This was a recipe I bookmarked because fish doesn't have to be served baked, broiled, fried or grilled. Stuffing fish is also a great way to prepare it! Feel free to check out my blog for the recipe and try stuffing your fish for something different!
